The 1st set of Cups

The early start cup was a raging sucess, with 21 teams signing up for 16 slots, so we had to show the door to 5 of them, unfortunately. The final had connectivity problems though.





The late start cup didn't go quite as well, sign up wise, with only 5 teams signed up, I'm told that this is because none of you heard about it. I'm sorry, if you're reading this, then at least you'll know about the next one. If you didn't sign up, sign up for this one! This is the late cup final: I don't know who won, I went to bed instead.





On a side note, kudos to mercykil1er and nanayashiki for being the only guys to notice that the cups are open to everyone and signing up for both! <3

Round 2 Details

2 cups will be run this tuesday, starting at different times, so you have no excuse not to play!

Some of you eagle eyed ESLers will have noticed that the early start cup now requires steam or IRC. So if you never played ESL before because don't have ICQ, now is your chance. During cups, admins will be available on steam and IRC to answer questions.

The late start cup starts an hour after the early start cup ends so that you can play in both
The map pool has been set to include the 2on2 maps and 2 3on3 maps, just for variety, but these will never be the decider maps.

League Restrictions

You won't be able to sign up for these cups until you Register a new team and get your m8 in (2 players per team, no more, no less), and satisfy these requirements:

	Sign up date	For this league there is a fixed sign up date Registration begins: 03/06/09 18:30 Registration ends: 04/06/09 18:50
	Team	Teams must have an abbreviation / short name / tag entered
	Logo	A team logo must be uploaded
	Gameaccount	You need the Gameaccount of this game Type: dow2_windows_live min. members: 2
	Contact	An IRC or Steam contact must be shown in your profile.

The Coverage

Some of you are probably wondering what GameReplays have to do with it.
Every week, GameReplays.org plans to videocast the top games from these night cups, presumably the finals. This means you can see your own name in lights, and it means we can start to see some really good 2on2 casts, which have been lacking up to now.
