The Final

The 1st Razer Series qualifier was interesting in that the final 4 featured 1 player of each race! The Final itself was Orks vs Eldar, and 3 tight games followed. They can be found on dow2live. In the end though, ICBW came out on top with a 2:1 win. He had this to say about being the 1st to qualify for the Razer Series.

Thank you very much. Of course I didn't expect to win the cup because the field is kind of strong. But I thought I had good chances to go far.
Who was your toughest opponent?
well i guess i'd go with umpire, because i hadn't played many eldar before and he's a very good player
Have you watched the casts of the final on dow2live since then?
yeah i did watch them. its always nice to see the opinion of other how the game went. a cast is a good oportunity to do so, also i like logkars casting style.
How do you rate your chances of coming out with a prize from the Razer series?
That's a tough question *smiles*. I guess it depends who qualifies for the other seats, but overall i think i've got a good shot to take one. Orks seem to do well atm there isn't any matchup that is unwinnable. but the patch is still young so anything can happen

However, in an odd choice, Umpire Has decided he doesn't want to take his slot for this cup. In an interview, he stated that seeing as he couldn't take part in the qualifiers if he took 2nd place, he'd give it away for love of the game! This means that 3rdd and 4th are bumped up a slot, lucky them!

The System

There will be 4 qualification night cups. The 1st 2 rounds will be best of 1, with the top 32 playing Best of 3. The semi-final and final will be played on the day after! The cups are not limited to Americans, but are open to the world.

The Relegation will follow, where the 2nd place from each cup will have to play a 3rd place team, with the winner of these 4 games joining the 4 1st place finishers in the Razer Series!

In the Groupstages, these players will be split into 2 groups of 4 and play each other over the course of a week. All of these games will be casted on dow2live.

Once the groupstages are finished, the top 3 from each group will qualify to the Playoffs, with only the top 3 getting prizes!

LiveCasting

Constant broadcasting will take part during the qualifiers of the Razer Series and all Razer Series games will be broadcasted on dow2live!

What If you're not a pro?

There are no restrictions on who takes part! Even if you don't win, this is a fun competition to take part in, you might lose in the 1st round against some TS 42 player, but you can learn from the experience! Remember, only 2% of the contestants will qualify.

But if you're steadfastly unwilling to take part, then fret not, we have prizes for you too!
